Experience & Activities

Narmilan Amarasingam did his master’s and bachelor’s from Eastern University, Sri Lanka (EUSL). He also did a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) from the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).

Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Precision Agriculture from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. It is focused on the health monitoring of sugarcane crops using UAVs, advanced sensors, and artificial intelligence. The aim of this research is to develop an AI framework to estimate the chlorophyll content and identify the pest and disease incidents in the sugarcane fields.
